High School Programming Contest
I helped out at another high school competition on Saturday. This time, it was the high school programming competition hosted at Miami University. In the past couple weeks, I had solved some of the problems to ensure that they were correct, and on Saturday, I was one of the competition judges (although there is not a whole lot of decision-making involved in being a judge).
In the past week, I also got a job working on the Red Cross project. It's in large part a choose-your-own-hours type of a thing, and the job mostly consists of just writing code. I thought it would be a good idea to get some experience with Microsoft Windows. Yeah, and if any of my loyal Taco HTML Edit customers are reading this, I apologize.
In the upcoming weeks, I have quite a bit of work to do, including a Software Engineering final paper and team project and a Machine Learning team project.

Hey there, Raj/Mr. Doshi. I've been using your Taco HTML Edit (v 1.7.0) for about 3 weeks--after trying just about every other noncommercial editor for the Mac--and it's the keeper (and I just made a PayPal donation :) ).
You mention spending a bit more time with Windows/MS. I have to say that part of my pickiness about html editors comes from a recent forced (but temporary) switch to my husband's PC. I was using a great piece of shareware called NoteTab (Pro). Oh, I just loved it. I still use it at work. I never thought I could have a whole lot positive to say about the Windows environment, but NoteTab almost made me want to forsake my Mac. (That and Firefox, which I think runs a bit too slow on Jaguar but is just tops on Windows.) So, check out NoteTab while you're doing the Windows thing and see what you think. Taco is similar in many ways.
It's neat to see that you're over there in the Cleveland/Oxford area. My very good friend Aarti is over there, too, along with her boyfriend Arvindh. He's getting his PhD in social work at Case Western, and she's doing some postdocs at both Case and Miami Univ.
Thanks for making such a great--and free!--editor for us Mac users.
Sincerely,
Polly
